I am extremely happy to have visited Steve Vai's great show at Regency Ballroom, San Francisco on October 9th.
Not only was the show one of the greatest I had ever seen but I was honored by Steve when he used a guitar strap that I made for him. during the show. And only on just one of the guitars, but on THE guitar - legendary Evo! I cannot express all the gratitude and excitement ...
I could not make it to Steve Vai Evo Experience and my husband presented it to Steve. So when during the show Steve appeared on stage with EVO in his hands wearing the strap I made for him I was speechless. Steve loves different floral textures in his cloths and I saw how good the strap matched to both guitars and costumes he had... Especially when he appeared is a nice shirt that you can see on the video below.
The design of the guitar strap was completely original and done in a quite work-intensive technique. As a base I took DiMarzio luxury leather ClipLock (http://www.dimarzio.com/straps/cliplock/luxury-leather-cliplock) as I thought that would fit Steve's best. I hand painted it with acrylic paints which took quite a while (more than 3 days) as all ornaments were composed of small paint dots.
Thank you Steve! I hope you will enjoy the strap.
